Tollways and tolling
Queensland toll roads operate under free-flow tolling, providing open motorway environments with no need to stop and pay your tolls.
The adoption of free-flow tolling in Queensland is part of the government’s response to south-east Queensland’s rapidly growing population. Tolls are applied under user pays principle, to bring forward the delivery of vital infrastructure.
Free-flow tolling and other intelligent transport systems will be extended to the Clem Jones Tunnel (CLEM7) and Hale Street Bridge in 2010.
