The Angellala Creek, Annie Switzer Bridge is located on the Warrego Highway between Morven and Charleville in the state's south west region. This section of the Warrego Highway is part of the state-controlled road network.

Carnarvon Highway widening: Injune to RollestonSouth West

The department is upgrading and widening a section of the Carnarvon Highway (Injune–Rolleston) over the next two years at a cost of $4.8 million.

Quilpie – Thargomindah Road upgradeSouth West

Quilpie Shire Council is upgrading the Quilpie – Thargomindah Road to the Bulloo Shire boundary, applying funding from Transport and Main Roads, Quilpie Shire Council and the Australian Government.

Warrego Highway widening (Morven to Charleville)South West

The state controlled portion of the Warrego Highway is being widened and upgraded at a total cost of 1.1 million to improve safety and allow access to type-two road trains in the future.

The department is investing $1.1 million to widen a 3.7 kilometre stretch of the Warrego Highway (Morven to Charleville) near Angellala Creek about 17 kilometres west of Morven, from 6 metres to 8 metres sealed width. Work also includes construction of the immediate approaches to the Annie Switzer Bridge.

Woleebee Creek rehabilitation – Jackson–Wandoan RoadSouth West

The Department of Transport and Main Roads has commenced work on Jackson–Wandoan Road in South West Queensland to protect the road near Woleebee Creek from erosion.

At a point 40 kilometres north of Jackson, the creek had significantly eroded towards the road over many years and work was now underway to prevent further erosion within the road reserve.

The work includes constructing 300 metres of gabion (rock filled wire basket) wall and earthworks to protect the embankment at the site from erosion.
