Project info
The Angellala Creek Bridge is located approximately 24 km from Morven on the Warrego Highway (Morven and Charleville) in the state's South-West Region. This section of the Warrego Highway is part of the state-controlled road network.
The bridge is 70 metre long and is being widened from 6 metres to 9.3 metres between kerbs, to better cater for heavy vehicles in the future and to improve safety through the area.
The work will involve widening the existing foundations, removal of the existing deck, and replacement with a new prestressed concrete deck and is being constructed by Davbridge Constructions. The roads approaches are also being upgraded and improved by Murweh Shire Council as part of the project.
The bridge is due to be completed in early 2010, weather permitting.
Estimated project completion time
The bridge has now been completed and is awaiting the finalisation of the immediate road approaches.
