Ann Street on-ramp night worksMetropolitan

The Department of Transport and Main Roads is installing a 5.3 metre height restriction barrier on the Ann Street on-ramp in the Brisbane CBD.

Boundary Road ThornlandsMetropolitan

Works include:

  • constructing two new lanes (west bound)
  • upgrading existing road to two lanes (east bound)
  • constructing new cross-road drainage structures and upgrading existing ones
  • constructing two new fauna underpasses using timber fauna logs
  • installing traffic signals at the intersections of Boundary Road/Springacre Road and Boundary Road/Dinwoodie Road

The Brisbane Urban Corridor study involved extensive consultation with the community and transport industry and concluded in late 2003 with recommendations to address a number of traffic related issues.

An 18 km extension of the Centenary Highway from Springfield to join the Cunningham Highway at Yamanto.

Centenary Highway upgrade and extensionMetropolitan

Upgrading and extending a vital traffic route in south-east Queensland. The Centenary Highway upgrade and extension currently includes three major projects - the Centenary Highway Extension, the Darra to Springfield Transport Corridor and the Ipswich Motorway Upgrade: Wacol to Darra.
