Craig Wallace was sworn in as Queensland Minister for Main Roads in March 2009.Craig Wallace

Minister Wallace became the Minister for Main Roads, having been the
Minister for Natural Resources and Water and Minister Assisting the Premier in North Queensland.

Minister Wallace was elected to State Parliament in February 2004.

During this time he held the position of Parliamentary Secretary to the Premier and Minister for Trade in North Queensland. He has served on a number of parliamentary committees, including the Estimates Committee in 2006. He was appointed Temporary Speaker/Deputy Speaker from August 2004 to August 2006.

Before entering politics, Minister Wallace worked in all levels of government. His roles included advisor to the former Member for Herbert, electorate officer for the former Member for Townsville and Executive Officer to the Mayor of Townsville.

Minister Wallace holds a Bachelor of Arts from James Cook University.

His family can trace its history in north Queensland dating back more than 130 years.

Minister Wallace is passionate about rural and regional Queensland, and has a strong desire to see rural and regional areas continue to advance and prosper.

Minister Wallace and his wife Jennifer have two young daughters. His many interests include cricket, fishing and rugby league.
